Masime praised his charges saying he is looking forward to a better performance at the regionals. “We did not have enough time to train because schools were closed to pave way for elections. I expect my boys to do better at the regional level,” he noted.

He added: “At the regionals, I’m sure the competition will be stiff but we are going to represent the county well. This event was well organised and the referees also did a good job.”

Kisii School coach Hesbon Chweya conceded defeat, saying they lost to a better and more mature team.

The regionals will be held at Asumbi Teachers Training College in Homa Bay County
