Constant Wakhura grabbed a seventh-minute goal to hand Butali Warriors a crucial win over United States International University (UMashujaa in the Kenya Hockey Union men's Premier League match at the City Park Stadium.

The men's national team captain converted a penalty corner to give the sugar millers their fourth win of the season after previous draws against perennial rivals Kenya Police and Western Jaguars in their last two matches.

The defending champions are yet to lose a match, and the outcome took their tally to 14 points. 

In the men's Super League, Kenyatta University slayed Multimedia University 3-0 in the varsity derby. Phelix Aredha scored a double with Abdaba Buke also getting his name on the scoresheet. 

At the Dashmesh Hockey Stadium in Nairobi, Sikh Union held Parkland to a three-all draw. The former league champions who were relegated from the top-flight league in 2019, found the back of the net via Hardeep Sigh, Harvir Sigh and Abif Shan in the 13th, 44th and 45th minutes respectively. Allan Odongo, Victor Mwashi and Erick Odendo scored for Parklands.

Mombasa's Mvita edged the Technical University of Kenya (TUK) 2-1. Bill Olong and Ag Kale gave the coastal side maximum points, rendering Tom Mumo's strike a consolation.

High-flying Kenyatta University were too strong for Multimedia University, as they charged past their opponents following a 3-0 win in the Women's Super League.

Monica Kitui and Grace Mugure scored in the opening quarter to give KU a 2-0 advantage heading into halftime. Melody Nyagaka put the result to bed two minutes from time as KU hope to make a quick return to the Premier League.
