Junior Golfer Lee Kimathi shines at U.S. Kids Tournament at Karen

Kimathi carded 75 points in the 15-18 year old boys’ category, followed closely by Kevin Anyien who took runners up position carding 81 points.

In Summary

• The U.S Kids Golf Tour has so far featured four of the seven events under the tutelage of the Junior Golf Foundation (JGF) Tour with a championship tournament set for May

•The remaining three are scheduled to take place at  Karen  ( May 14), Royal Nairobi (May 150 and the Grand Finale at Muthaiga (May 29).

Junior golfer Lee Kimathi won the fourth leg of the U.S. Kids Golf tour tournament at the Karen Country Club.

Kimathi carded 75 points in the boys' 15-18 years category, followed closely by Kevin Anyien who took the runners-up position after carding 81 points. 

In the girls’  8 and under years category, Ashley Gachora and Zianna Khoda both carded an impressive round of 41 points. However, Gachora won the category by virtue of scoring a birdie on the first playoff hole. 

In the girls’ 13-14 years category, Sanjana Sharma claimed the top position with 83 points followed by Bianca Ngecu, who carded 84 points. 

James Tino ruled in the boys' under-6 years category after carding an impressive 51 points followed closely by Mohamed Mtsumi with 54 points. In the boys' seven years category, Jeff Kibe claimed top position, carding a round of 48 points.
