“We were welcomed by the Everton management the best way they know how and had health discussion and we requested them to

visit Kenya and play on our home soil. However, we have to invest in facilities and academies if we dare dream to be like teams in Europe. Gor performed well and they just need to work on some department s and they will be good to go,” said Odinga.
He added: “We have strenthen our league because its through clubs that national teams are drafted. I hope the national team will qualify for Africa Cup of Nations as this will improve our rankings hence the players will get a chance to play in Europe,” said Odinga.
SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri asked government and stakeholders to come on board and help in bridging the gap between Kenya and Europe.
“We can’t do it alone. Other stakeholders must come on board so that we can work towards bridging the gap,” he said.
