Teams make changes aimed at helping them find success in the semifinal showdown

Champions KCB face Resolution Impala Saracens in a mouthwatering Kenya Cup semifinal at the Impala club.

Across the fence Quins host Kabras with both matches kicking off at 4pm.

All eyes will be at the Impala club.

The two sides have met twice this season with KCB beating Impala 26-14 to win the floodlit title in October while Impala exacted revenge by winning 19-15 in February during the regular season.

The hosts have made five changes to the side that beat Strathmore 33-27 a fortnight ago. In the changes, one positional, Director of Rugby Fred Ollows has moved Simon Muniafu to start at lock, Samson Onsomu to scrum-half, Ian Minjire returns at left wing while George Okowa is at fullback as Vincent Mose moves to the right wing from fullback.

Ollows expects a tough match against the holders but says the boys are ready for the match.

“The boys are hungry for a win and we hope we can deliver a win that will take us to our first final since 2009,” added Ollows.

Impala will opt to play at pace while the bankers will play at pedestrian pace and use their forwards to win territory and possession and rely on the accuracy of fullback Darwin Mukidza from the kicking tee.

KCB are fresh from defeating Homeboyz last week 25-8 at the Jamhuri park showground where Mukidza scored 20 points six penalties and a conversion. The bankers will be relying on his accuracy should Impala give away penalties at the breakdown.

The bankers have made only one change from last week's win over the deejays. Brian Omondi, who played at inside centre, dropping to the bench with Ken Moseti coming in as all other positions remain the same.
