Kenya have been drawn in a favourable pool “A” with New Zealand, Portugal and Russia in the Las Vegas leg of the Sevens series between March 4-6.

Australia will exchange notes with England, Scotland and Japan in pool “B” as defending series champions Fiji deal with Argentina, Samoa and France in pool “C”.

Hosts USA have South Africa, Wales and North American rivals Canada as fellow candidates in pool “D”.

Kenya will open their campaign against Russia then face Portugal before the big test against New Zealand.

Kenya are eighth with 42 points and head coach Benjamin Ayimba is pleased with the progress the team has made this season. “ Im delighted with the way the team has made it to three quarterfinals of the Main Cup out of four. This is commendable after last year’s disastrous season,” Ayimba added.
