Norwich Vs Liverpool Today 345pm

My prediction: Norwich 1-1 The Reds

Oh Liverpool. I expected a lot more from you against Manchester United last weekend and you let me down. I don’t know why I’m sounding surprised though because the Reds have become a letdown at crucial moments this season. After Jurgen Klopp’s arrival I believed for a moment there that Liverpool would rise from the ashes and reclaim their spot as a “top four” team in the league but alas! They aren’t interested. Roberto Firmino appears to be the only bright light in the side while the rest of the squad just appears to be going through the motions. They’re a dismal ninth but in their favour, Norwich are an even worse 16th in the standings. Norwich are just weird. Since December they’ve beaten teams like Southampton and Man United but then fell to teams like Bournemouth. No consistency at all. On the bright side, they have signed Steven Naismith from Everton and he’s good to start in this game. He could be a bother for the Reds. This game will be pretty even. Despite Liverpool thrashing Exeter this week, they aren’t as convincing against league sides this term.

Manchester United Vs Southampton Today 6pm

My Prediction: The Reds Devils 1-2 The Saints

Of course I’ll be “Team Wanyama” this evening because I trust that on a good day Southampton can beat any team. Their 4-0 drubbing of league leaders Arsenal in December will take a while to forget, if ever and if they play like that against this inconsistent United side, then anything can happen. I worry about the way United have suddenly begun to grind results, no matter how dull their game may seem. Wayne Rooney’s monster goal against Liverpool last week showed that the players are on a mission to turn their fortunes around. Their game though, is still really dull. Southampton have been two teams in one this term. Big results against the likes of Arsenal and then losses to Norwich and Crystal Palace this month. Our very own Victor Wanyama, while erratic sometimes to the point of getting sent off; has been a force to reckon with in every game he’s played. United will have to be sharper than usual if they are to win this. I recommend playing long balls to avoid Wanyama completely but then again why am I making suggestions when I want The Saints to win this one. And they have one weapon that United won’t be ready for – Charlie Austin whom they signed from QPR last week. I’m really going to enjoy this one.

Arsenal Vs Chelsea Tomorrow 7pm

My Prediction: The Gunners 3-0 The Blues

I have been looking forward to this fixture since the Gunners were cheated by the system in the reverse fixture. Chelsea only beat the mighty Gunners because Diego Costa is a cheat and the referees were biased! That’s not going to happen this time around because even the “system” knows that they did us wrong. Gabriel Paulista should not have been red carded and Costa should have left the pitch! But we’ll let bygones be bygones. There was an Arsenal fear of Jose Mourinho that I never really understood and now that he’s gone this game is ours for the taking. Mesut Ozil returns after his swollen toe kept him out of the Stoke game and equally important, Alexis Sanchez is fit to start. This will be an almost full blown Arsenal side that can beat anybody! “Bring on Barcelona!” manager Arsene Wenger should give newboy Mohamed el Nenny a chance to play and I trust he will prove his worth. The DM position is where Arsenal are yet to fix and if El Nenny fits well here; then we will be so lethal that even Barcelona will fear playing us. Chelsea are unbeaten in their last six matches which sounds impressive doesn’t it; but it includes four draws – including draws against West Brom and Watford. I don’t fear these Blues at all this time around. Infact welcome to Emirates Stadium Hiddink and your followers; we have a lesson in football prepared for you.
