More than 700 people have been killed in Israel since Hamas launched its attacks on Saturday morning, including 260 at a music festival.

Israeli has said more than 100 Israelis have been "kidnapped" in the attacks - it's thought most have been taken into Gaza.

Almost 500 people have died in Gaza, after Israel launched massive retaliatory air strikes.

Israel controls the air space over Gaza and its shoreline, and restricts who and what goods are allowed in and out through its border crossings.

Similarly, Egypt controls who passes in and out of its border with Gaza.
