Nyoro: Budget policy statement for 2024/2025 is complete

Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro who is also the budget committee says the budget Policy Statement for 2024-2025 is complete.

He says they have set aside money for farm inputs.

"As a government, we want to help farmers to earn from their sweat, " said Nyoro after attending a church service at AIC Church Annex.

He says they have also put Sh6 billion into the Coffees Cherry Fund which will guarantee farmers maximum amount.

REREC will also get Sh12 billion to connect more Kenyans with electricity. 

"Every constituency will get Sh50 million to connect electricity, " he said.

He noted that all those Kenyans over 70 years old, disabled, with severe diseases, and orphans will benefit.

"Before we get our payments we will make sure that they are paid and this time they will receive it through M-Pesa"

On the issue of delayed passports, the Kiharu legislator said they have set aside Sh32 billion in harnessing efficiency around passports.

"In the next financial year cases of passport delays will be a thing of the past, " he said.

Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago urged Kenyans to support the new health scheme saying it will be of benefit to Kenyans

"I want to urge Kenyans to allow the government to take the 2.75 percent of their money for the scheme, this will ensure access to quality affordable health care and critical health care," said Senator Mandago

Ambassador Julius Bitok assures Kenyans that issues of passports will be fast-tracked and there will be no delays again.
