"A section of the transmission powerline in North Rift is currently unavailable due to unforeseen challenges arising from critical reinforcement works undertaken on a section of the line earlier today," Kenya Power said in a statement.
The power company further said the challenge has led to controlled supply for their clients in parts of the three regions.
"Customers in Eldoret, Nandi, Bungoma, Kakamega, Kisumu, Busia, Nakuru, Nyandarua, Kericho, Bomet, Kisii, Homa Bay have been experiencing power outages for two hours," Kenya Power said
