A 13-year-old boy was electrocuted as he connected power to their house in a tragic incident in Kawangware, Nairobi.

The boy was busy wiring their house on Sunday afternoon when he touched a live naked wire.

This killed him instantly and was discovered with burns moments later.

The body had visible burns on the right chest side and another one on the left hand’s forefinger.

Kenya Power officials and police are investigating the incident.

Such electrocution cases are caused by illegal power connections. Most of the connections are also done by quacks, which endangers occupants of the houses, officials say.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and investigations.

Elsewhere police are looking for two men who killed their colleague at a construction site in Karen, Nairobi.

The two hacked one Sikeva Kamau, 47 in a fight on Sunday evening after a disagreement.

Police said the deceased's body had bruises on the hands and legs with a deep head cut wound and was bleeding from the nose.

There were blood stains were spotted on the house walls and the deceased's clothes.

It is not clear what prompted the fight, police said adding an investigation is ongoing.

Police also say they are investigating the suspected sudden death of a man in Umoja Two area, Nairobi.

The body of the man was found on the roadside after he had dropped there on Sunday, police said.

Members of the public told police the said person had been coming to that area daily.

The body had no visible injuries and the cause of the death is yet to be known, police said.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending identification, autopsy and probe.

Police want to understand what motivated the man to visit the site daily before his demise.
