Eric Maigo's murder case

A case in which a woman is accused of killing former Nairobi Hospital Finance Director Eric Maigo is set to come up for mention in court today. 

Ann Adhiambo Ouma, alias 'Nut', is set to be presented in court for pretrial directions.

The Nigeria High Commission in Kenya has responded to the claims that Nigerian citizens may be responsible for at least one of the recent femicide cases in Kenya.

Through a memo dated January 17, Wednesday the Nigerian consulate said that they were concerned by online blogs, doctored videos and social media posts, maliciously entrenching spurious speculation that ‘Nigerians’ had perpetrated these heinous crimes.

The office raised concerns that Nigerian citizens were being targeted in the online attacks.

They went on to urge Nigerian nationals residing in Kenya to remain calm and law-abiding as investigations into the cases continue.

Witnesses including the owner of the apartment say Waeni’s suspected killer spoke Swahili.

Defence Ministry to support Garissa airstrip renovation

The national government and Garissa County will partner in the expansion and modernization of the airstrip with Governor Nathif Jama Adam's administration building the Terminal facility.

Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale who went for the site visit of the airstrip assured the Kenya Airports Authority of the steadfast support of his ministry in the intended major refurbishment of Garissa Airstrip.

King Charles III is set to undergo a medical procedure next week.

The unexpected health announcement was made within two hours on Wednesday afternoon.

The King is staying at his private home near Balmoral with the Queen, and royal sources said he was in "good form" and in "good spirits".
