There was another oops moment at Kariokor Cemetery on Wednesday after King Charles III almost fell while laying a wreath at the war memorial graveyard.

In a video seen by the Star, the King stumbled while laying wreath but did not fall.

Queen Camilla who accompanied him quickly reached out to grab hold of the Monarch who balanced himself quickly.

The King then put his sunglasses on and calmly walked away and the incident seemed not to deter him as he swiftly proceeded with the programme of the day to honour brave soldiers who fought for the crown in World War I and II.

During his visit to the Kariokor cemetery, Charles said he felt the "greatest sorrow and deepest regret" about Britain's "abhorrent and unjustifiable acts of violence" in Kenya.

King Charles also said there was no excuse for what the British Empire did during the Mau Mau rebellion in the 1950s.

"It is the intimacy of our shared history that has brought our people together. However, we must also acknowledge the most painful times of our long and complex relationship," King Charles said.

"The wrongdoings of the past are a cause of the greatest sorrow and the deepest regret."
