Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has refuted media reports that he is in a tussle with Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi over office spaces.
Kuria in a post on X on Sunday described Mudavadi as a close friend.
"Contrary to media reports today, there is no tug of war between myself and my senior and close friend Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi. The PCS will continue operating from Railways Headquarters and myself from Harambee House," Kuria said.
Kuria said the Prime Cabinet Secretary who also doubles up as the Foreign Affairs CS will continue operating from Railways Headquarters where he has been.
Kuria said his office is at Harambee House.
"Principal Secretary for Performance and Delivery Management Veronicah Nduva will also be based at Harambee House," the CS said.
He said PS Nduva will oversee Government Delivery Services, Performance Contracting, State Corporations Advisory Committee and Inspectorate of State Corporations as per Executive Order Number 1 of 2023 from the Harambee House office.
This comes after the Head of Public Service Felix Koskei made adjustments to the physical addresses of ministries and state departments on Friday.
"We refer to the above subject matter and to the notification of Presidential Action of October 4, 2023. Following the Presidential Action on the Reorganization of the Government of Kenya, we hereby notify you that the physical addresses for Ministries and State Departments (Ministerial Head Office) have been designated," Koskei said in a statement.
Koskei said the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary and the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi has been designated to the Old Treasury Building Harambee Avenue.
The Prime CS, however, said in a statement on Facebook that his office will nonetheless remain at the Railways Headquarters.
"For the avoidance of doubt, the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs remains at the Railways Headquarters," Mudavadi said.
According to Koskei, Kuria had been assigned an office at the Kenya Railways Headquarters off Haile Selassie Avenue.
Kuria was previously domiciled at the Two Rivers shopping Mall in Ruaka while serving as the Trade CS.
Some of the offices retained their locations including the Attorney General's Office, Interior, National Treasury and Economic Planning, Defence, Roads and Transport and Lands.
