Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has paid tribute to those who lost their lives during the Westgate Mall attack 10 years ago.

Through her Twitter, Passaris comforted the families.

"Ten years ago today, terrorists launched an attack at Westgate Mall leaving more than 60 people dead," she said.

"Amidst the darkness of that day, I find inspiration in the unwavering resilience and unity demonstrated by the People of Nairobi and Kenya at large."

The woman rep said in 2013, four masked gunmen launched an attack on Nairobi's Westgate shopping mall putting the country at a standstill. 

"Today, we solemnly remember the victims of this senseless tragedy and stand in solidarity with their grieving families," Passaris said.
