“I am not aware of the ongoing summit. The summit matters because basing on the garbage and plastics around it will destroy the humanity if the environment is not conserved. If action is taken then the summit will bring change.”

“I am not aware of the summit but I think it matters to the society in general. If they are trying to hold a summit to discuss how to solve and instigate issues then it's good. I am hoping that the summit will bring change.”

“I am a bit aware of it although am not sure if it is going to help us. I hope it brings change because of the abrupt climate change. I have no idea if the summit will bring any difference.”

Hamisi Juma, Store keeper.

“I have no idea of its importance. The majority of the people have no idea of what’s going on and we don’t know what the summit will bring to the citizens yet we have many problems to deal with. It is a waste of time. This is political, at the end of the day they are the ones achieving the benefits.”

“It is a good move that will help to conserve the environment and also marks Kenya as part of the international community. The summit will not change anything since the funds to be given will end up being misused by senior government officials.”

“Is it important for our survival? I don’t think it will bring changes we should focus on our economy. They should focus on those in need and pray to God because he is in control of any climate-related issues."

Margaret Wanjiru, Sales Woman.

“I have little information of the current summit and I think it will only benefit the politicians. The electric cars won’t benefit anyone and they should invest in more important sectors like education .”

“I think it should be happening but it’s a waste of resources considering that our economy is crumbling. Summit does not matter as much since rain is God-given. Everyone should be involved in conserving the environment no need to waste resources.”
