Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has revealed his boss, President William Ruto is the most desired visitor around the world.

Speaking during the closing ceremony of the Devolution conference held in Uasin Gishu county, Gachagua said if Ruto was to honour every invitation to countries around the world, he would be out of the country 360 days in a year.

"This William Ruto you despised and gave no chance is today the desired visitor of every capital in the world. People are envious, they thought the West and East will not embrace our President, they said he is a thief and corrupt," he said

The DP added that in one year, the head of state has become the leading light in the African continent.

"Our President is being sought by every country in Africa to speak for the continent. I want to ask our brothers and sisters to just accept and move on," he stated

Since being sworn in as President in September 2022, Ruto has made several foreign trips for bilateral talks.

As of June 2023, Ruto had visited 27 countries around the world.

Gachagua had also in June defended Ruto's foreign trips, saying the President found the country in a very bad state economically and that is what he is working hard to fix.
