National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula on Friday hosted a delegation from the Chinese African Peoples Friendship Association led by their president Li Bin.
The CAPFA delegation paid him a courtesy visit in his office at Parliament Buildings.
Wetang'ula reiterated Parliament's commitment to supporting the strengthening of the bilateral relationship that has existed between the two countries considering the shared political as well as economic ties.
"Kenya is a beneficiary of the technological and infrastructural developments by China that has contributed immensely to ground the country's economy and improve the living standards of citizens," Wetang'ula said.
While acknowledging that trade between the two countries has evolved for years, he assured the delegation that Parliament will strive to put measures in place that will make trading between the two Nations easy for the benefit of its citizens.
"Our discussions also focused on ways of tapping into tourism, agriculture, health and education sectors among others. I assured Li Bin of my continued engagement with the organisation with the view of creating more opportunities for citizens of the two Nations," he said.
