Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has opened up on his only disappointment with Azimio leader Raila Odinga.

Speaking on Wednesday, the CS said the former prime minister has always used the politics of deceit, in his dealings.

Duale said even the current demonstrations are just a way for Raila to get into government.

He added that whenever the ODM leader gets the handshake, he always forgets the people that helped him get it.

He referred to the case of 2018, where Raila met then-President Uhuru Kenyatta without the knowledge of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, then ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi and then Bungoma senator Moses Wetang'ula.

The three were former PM's co-principals in the National Super Alliance (Nasa) coalition.

Duale however, noted that should Raila get his way into the current administration, he would still abandon those who worked with him to get there.

"Demonstrations have been a way to sneak Baba into the government of the day. My only disappointment with him is, whenever the 'Handshake' table is set, he is quick to forget the people who stood with him. We saw it when he met Uhuru without the knowledge of Musyoka, Mudavadi and Wetangula," Duale said.

"It is the politics of deceit that I keep talking about. And, should a handshake happen, which is a farfetched imagination, trust me, he wouldn't carry anyone along."

Duale worked with Raila in 2007 when he was a member of the ODM party and MP for Dujis constituency.

He had even branded himself as Raila's chief campaigner in the Northern Kenya region before they fell out following the formation of the Grand Coalition Government with retired president Mwai Kibaki (late).
