President William Ruto will be the chief guest at the launch of Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale’s new book on Thursday evening.

Duale noted that former Bomet governor Isaac Ruto will be among the key speakers at the event.

“Isaac Ruto is the centerpiece in this book because he is the one who wrote the URP constitution. He was in the 10th Parliament until he became a governor, up to the time I told him ‘hii pesa si ya," he said.

“He has told me hii serikali ni ya mama yetu."

The launch of the book titled 'For The Record' will also be attended by other dignitaries, Cabinet secretaries, political and business leaders.

Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta has not been invited to the launch.

Duale said Speaker Moses Wetang’ula (National Assembly) and Amason Kingi (Senate) and majority leaders of both Houses will also be attending.
