The motorcade of Opposition leader Raila Odinga was spotted on City roads after hours of waiting following fresh calls to protest.

The motorcade which first appeared at Kangemi, along Waiyaki Way is currently on Kiambu Road heading to an unknown destination.

With bodaboda riders side by side, the motorcade diverted to Sarit Center after it spotted police vehicles near the Westlands roundabout and found itself in Gigiri.

Raila had last week called on his supporters to come out in large numbers on Tuesday from 6 am, to protest over the high cost of living and demand for the opening of IEBC servers for scrutiny.

Before Raila resurfaced, a bus and trailer were set a blaze along the Ngong Road and Southern Bypass respectively by unknown goons.

Security was beefed around the city, to maintain law and order.

Azimio La Umoja leader, had earlier today been teargassed at the President's Harambee House office as they attempted to present a petition.

"My 50 colleagues and I have been teargassed outside the Office of the President as we marched peacefully to deliver the People’s Petition," Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna tweeted after the incidence.

Sifuna said DP Rigathi Gachagua had told them where to surrender their petition and they resolved to do so but instead of meeting the president, they were repelled.

"Gachagua told us we know where to find them. We do. We went there and instead met Police. Cowards!" Sifuna said.
