Comedian Erick Omondi arrested in Kisumu protest

Comedian Eric Omondi has been arrested in Kisumu.

Omondi was leading some residents along the Jomo Kenyatta streets protesting over the high cost of living, increased fees and unemployment.

They blocked the streets while lying on the mattresses, a move that forced the police to lob teargas and arrest him.

Kisumu Central OCPD Nicholas Maina has confirmed the arrest of Omondi in the lakeside city.
