All eyes on Eliud Kipchoge ahead of Boston Marathon

The Olympic Champion and seasoned gold medalist Eliud Kipchoge will on Monday participate in Boston Marathon. 

The race will start at 4:30 pm and all Kenyans are banking on him to also bring the medal home. 

Kipchoge will be experiencing Boston for the first time ever. 

Taking to his Twitter, Kipchoge said he has been discovering the city of Boston and has enjoyed his stay so far. 

"I really feel the energy of the people and it's great to experience and meet with the community. Two more days until the big day. I can't wait," he tweeted.

So far, Kipchoge has won the London Marathon and Berlin Marathon four times each. 

He also won in Tokyo and Chicago. 

He also showed a tremendous improvement in his own world marathon record to 2:01:09 the last time he raced, in Berlin in September, four years on from the world record of 2:01:39 he ran in the same city.

Kenyans and leaders have assured the athlete of their support as he has been described as the Greatest Of All Times. 

All eyes will be glued on the screens ahead of the race.
