A survey by research firm Tifa shows that majority of Kenyans are against the ongoing anti-government rallies being conducted by the Azimio coalition.
The report released on Friday , which was conducted between March 11- 19 this year, showed that only 31 percent of Kenyans are in support of the Azimio demonstrations.
64 percent of the respondents who took part in the survey were not in support of the rallies while 4 percent had no opinion on the matter.
On whether the rallies could actually lead to the removal of President William Ruto from office, only 16 percent believed it is possible.
Majority, standing at 72 percent believe it is not possible for the rallies to lead to the removal of the Head of State from office.
12 percent of the respondents were not sure, saying they don't know whether it is possible for the sitting government to be removed from office.
On if an office for the opposition should be created and whether and the Azimio team accepts the office, 36 percent of correspondents said the move will make the opposition stronger.
Going further, 48 percent were of the contrary opinion saying the move will weaken the opposition while 16 percent remained neutral saying the move will make no difference.
The findings of the report, however, have a margin error of +-12 percent.
The research was conducted from a sample size of 2,065 respondents.
The respondents were engaged in face-to-face interviews at the household level from across the nine zones of Central Rift, Coast, Lower Eastern, Mt. Kenya, Nairobi, Northern, Nyanza, South Rift and Western.
