"Sisi ni watu wa kutafuta pesa, hapo ndio tunakuanga, ndio maana tuliunga Rais mkono, alipotueleza akona mpango ya vile tutapata pesa, tulikubali," he said.

"Si mnajua pesa ni sabuni ya roho? Si nimvunja mlima."

This is loosely translated to: "The people from the mountain are mainly known for their urge to look for money, that's why we supported William Ruto's presidency. He came and told us he had a plan for how we will make money and we agreed. Money broke the mountain."

Gachagua further said the Gusii community and people from the mountain have one thing in common, which is hard work and how to source money.

"Mimi na Kimani Ichung'wah tunafurahia sana kukua hapa. Pale sisi tunatoka katika mlima Kenya, tabia zetu na mambo yetu yote inafanana na jamii ya Omugusii," he said.

"Kimani Ichungwah and I are so happy to be here. Where we come from, our behaviours and that of people from Gusii land are common"

Gachagua said where he comes from, they only hang around people who know how to source for wealth, and people who respect wealth, as looking for wealth is a hard task.

"We only walk with people who know how to expand their businesses, guard it, and protect it, as sourcing for wealth is a very difficult task," he said.
