He alleged that the mentioned brands have been facilitating the Kenya Kwanza government.

"These corporates have become the enemies of people and are benefiting the blood and tears of Kenyans," he said.

Chesang now says Safaricom is among the most profitable companies in terms of innovations and other issues affecting Kenyans.

"Safaricom has been the best corporate taxpayer consistently remitting their taxes, duties and dividends to both government and shareholders," Chesang said.

The senator who also serves as the ICT Committee chair promised to enact laws to create a conducive working environment for companies.

Further, Chesang defended the companies listed for boycott, saying they impact society positively.

"They have touched lives and initiated projects traversing various landscapes," he said.

This, he said, includes education, sports, environment, research, engineering, medicine, technology, children and women.

He faulted Raila for what he termed as blackmail and calls that are likely to benefit a few individuals.

"I am optimistic the resilient Kenyan spirit shall weather the artificial storm and defy every dark agent to continue posting record profits and unprecedented growth in every facet," he added.

The calls to boycott products have been met with rejection, especially the attack on press freedom.
