Boma yangu services to be moved to E-citizen

The Ministry of Lands and Housing has announced that it will be moving Boma Yangu services to E-Citizen.

This is aimed at enhancing the platform's service delivery. 

"The migration exercise will commence on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 6 pm and end on Monday, March 20, at 6 am," a statement released by the Ministry on Friday read.

During the stipulated time, services on the platform will be temporarily unavailable and inaccessible.

The lands ministry said the new system is designed to offer enhanced performance and reliability as well as a better user experience for all.

It will include a range of new features and additional services that will make it easier for Kenyans to access information and interact with the Affordable Housing Program.

Among the new and improved features is the convenient access to the web portal through eCitizen, access to USSD for people with feature phones or with no internet, and updated projects showing the latest Affordable Housing projects.

The improvised platform will also offer a quick process to make savings/payments on the platform, and the addition of card payments, improved visibility of transactions on the portal with real-time statements for all platform users and better settlement of funds reducing reconciliation challenges

Further, there will be organised groups module serving bulk off-takers on the platform and improved user experience across the platform and better reliability and performance

"We have reviewed the Boma Yangu Terms and Conditions to align with respective changes to the laws of Kenya and to reflect the evolution and enhanced services we will be offering to the users of our platform," the statement reads in part.

The Ministry has apologised for any inconveniences caused during the migration, pledging to ensure a seamless transition.
