IEBC selection panel on Monday elected Nelson Makanda as the chairman. Makanda will be deputised by Charity Kisotu.
The panel said they will do a good job and asked Kenyans to pray for them.
"Kenyans pray for us because this work is not very easy. We want to assure Kenyans that we will do a good job," Makanda said.
He said the panel will place advertisements in tomorrow's dailies inviting suitable candidates for the chairperson and commissioners of the IEBC.
The elections come a week after President William Ruto gazetted the seven-member panel charged with the recruitment of the Commission to replace Wafula Chebukati's team.
They include Bethuel Sugut and Novince Euralia Atieno fromrepresenting the Parliamentary Service Commission.
The Political Parties Liaison Committee will be represented by its chairman Evans Misati James.
Benson Ngugi Njeri (LSK), Kisotu (Public Service Commission), Makanda and Fatuma Saman both of NAMLEF.
