A day after Jubilee party secretary general Jeremia Kioni claimed Azimio leader Raila Odinga defeated President Ruto in the last election, lawyer Miguna Miguna has come out and brushed off the allegations.

Miguna said it was a fallacy for the official to suggest that Raila won yet he had failed to prove it by presenting the facts at the Supreme Court.

“Kioni says Raila won the 2022 presidential election by 8.1 million votes... but he did not present the evidence at the Supreme Court nor has he provided it to Kenyans to see,” he said.

Miguna who has openly shown his support for President Ruto and the Kenya Kwanza administration claimed both Raila and the officials are out to cause anarchy in the country.

"Kioni and Raila are agents of chaos and despondency," he said.

On Wednesday, Kioni reignited the August 9, 2022 poll debate on who won saying Raila garnered 8,170,355 votes or 57.53 per cent of votes cast against Ruto's 5,915,973 votes (41.66 per cent of votes cast).

This came after a whistleblower claiming to be an IEBC official made similar allegations.

He said the Jubilee Party, an affiliate of Azimio, was in agreement with it.

"We have no reason to doubt the information, which confirmed our fears," he stated during a press conference, adding that manipulation of the election results mostly occurred in the Mt Kenya region.

"This is a very sad moment for us as a country. More information on the next course of action will be shared later by leaders of the coalition," he said.

He added that Raila will issue a comprehensive statement when he jets back into the country.
