Dagoretti North MP Beatrice Elachi has asked ODM leader Raila Odinga to look at his legacy so that it does not go down the drain.

"We have a generation that will not understand so much the history of Raila Odinga. The people he is talking to will not understand the journey," she said.

Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV on Monday, Elachi said even the freedom and the right she enjoying while speaking, is because of Raila.

"For us to just come here and talk the way we are talking is because of Baba," she said.

Elachi however, said Raila should continue speaking, but in an organised way, adding that he should guide the country.

"It doesn't have to be a protest. He can call in a big conference meeting, or still do a rally but not in a way we are now arguing," she said.

Her statement comes after the ODM chief announced plans to have a mass protest on Wednesday.

Raila said December 7, will mark the start of a series of consultations on the state of the nation, following the removal of the commissioners.

"We want to ask Kenyans if they are happy with the way things are happening," he said.

The Azimio leader said the first rally will be held at Kamkunji Grounds in Nairobi and the second will be held at the same venue on December 12.

This is the day President William Ruto is expected to lead the country in the Mashujaa Day celebrations.

Ruto said his administration will not block the Azimio leader from going to the streets, so long as the demonstrations do not degenerate into destruction of property.

“I have asked Interior CS Kithure Kindiki to ask Azimio to give him their schedule of demonstrations, so that we can provide enough security. They can demonstrate everyday, once a week, every month,” he said.
