Man sentenced to 20 years for defiling minor

A court in Eldoret has sentenced Jefunea Situma, 70, alias Mdudu,  to serve 20 years imprisonment for defiling a minor.

Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution said the incident occurred on March 11, 202o, at Natwana village, Uasin Gishu.

The victim, 12, told the court that the accused pulled her by force, took her to his house, removed her clothes, defiled her and later threatened her not to scream. 

She said ‘Mdudu’ threatened to kill her using a knife.

Six witnesses testified in the matter.
