Overall public debt position as of 31st December 2021

Kenya's public debt position has been a subject of debate and discussions among politicians even as the country heads to the August 9, polls.

As President Uhuru Kenyatta exits the office, he prides himself for doubling the country's GDP.

However, he has faced numerous criticism over the country's debt.

As it stands, Kenya spends a huge chunk of its revenue in servicing debts.
