A row has rocked a team of elders from a vote-rich region, whom an MP has been whipping to endorse a political bigwig’s 2022 prospects. The split followed a meeting between the political chief and the elders was called off at the last minute.  The lot was warned against taking part in any political activity that might be interpreted as an endorsement of the leader. A mole told Corridors that the Covid-19 excuse given by the security team was just to save face. It was for the ensuing theatrics that the politico shifted his engagements to another base within the same region.

A group of investors are grooming a lawmaker for the governorship in a county in Central in fear that one of the candidates eyeing the seat is a threat to their business. The moneyed men have vowed to frustrate the politician, whom they say is keen on controlling their multibillion shilling investments. They also fear the man may go to the extent of revoking their licenses owing to his interests. The MP has since accepted the offer, having realised he has a lot to reap, no matter the outcome of the August 2022 vote. The said investors were instrumental to some candidates in 2017.

A group of MCAs in Western with ambitions to join the National Assembly could be giving their rivals sleepless nights. They have a dalliance with UDA and have given the area lawmakers an ultimatum that they rally a political bigwig from the area to chart his own path or they decamp to William Ruto’s UDA, if the man chooses to back another candidate for the top seat. The MCAs have reportedly engaged a charged door-to-door outreaches which they believe would net them enough support for their new home.
