President Uhuru Kenyatta (pictured) once said that his choice of successor will be a shocker. Well, some connected sources in government and in the opposition  concur it will be a big surprise. Why? They say Uhuru will support neither DP William Ruto nor ODM chief Raila Odinga. Instead, he will rally Raila to support a candidate other than the current political bigwigs. Two senior people have separately been heard whispering that this is a reality that the "affected" communities should learn to accept as early as now. Those who doubt, they say, are headed for a bad heartbreak.

What befell the highly hyped repossession of Nairobi county's grabbed land and properties? Those aware of the controversy are wondering whether it was merely a publicity stunt.

This was seen in the just concluded Kenya Rugby Union elections. Our mole says the RFUEA event mimicked African elections, which are dictated by deep-state bribery and influence peddling. Before the election, delegates of one candidate were treated to a beer and nyama choma night before they walked out with heavy pockets. This has left many outsiders and lovers of the game worried that without free, transparent and fair elections, the union risks having poor leadership that will kill the sport.

Is a deputy governor from Nyanza secretly mounting a rebellion against his boss? The deputy county chief, known to brag about his 'unfettered' access to DP William Ruto, has been plotting the downfall of the governor. With the help of some local politicians and former gubernatorial aspirants, the deputy governor has sponsored propaganda using keyboard warriors and influential bloggers to malign his boss. While he poses as a close ally of the governor during the day, he is said to be lethal and has been viciously planning on how to bring him down. The governor is serving his second and final term. The deputy county chief has been secretly meeting 'enemies' of the boss to document propaganda, which he has been hawking to whoever cares to hear.
