The government has announced vacancies in several state corporations.
The various vacancies were posted on the MyGov on Tuesday, April 9.
Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute
The Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute, a State Corporation under the Ministry of Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affair announced 24 vacancies.
The state corporation seeks to recruit positions of Director, Internal Audit (1) position, Chief Research Scientist (4) positions, Deputy Director, Laboratory Services (1) position, Deputy Director, Information Communication Technology (1) position, Deputy Director, Technical Capacity Building (1) position, Deputy Director Business Development Services (1) position and Assistant Director, Human Resource Management (1) position.
Others are Assistant Director, Administration, Assistant Director, Resource Mobilisation and Partnership Development, Assistant Director of Information Science, Principal Risk Management and Quality Assurance Officer, Principal Legal Officer, Senior Records Management Officer, and Senior Legal Assistant, one position each.
The department also seeks to hire Assistant Research Scientist (4) positions and drivers (2) positions.
They also re-advertised for the Principal Resource Mobilisation Officer (1) position.
KMFRI said interested and qualified candidates must complete the Job Application Form (Available from the Vacancies section at the KMFRI Website - https://www.kmfri.go.ke), attach their testimonials, certificates, copy of their National Identification Card (ID) and Curriculum Vitae (CV).
They should also submit their applications both in hard and soft copy and envelopes containing the documents should be marked with the position applied.
The deadline for the application is April 29, 2024.

Kenya Power is seeking to fill 24 positions.
KPLC wants Kenyans to apply for Chief System Administrator, Enterprise Architecture and IT Infrastructure, Chief System Analyst, Business Support and Intelligence, Principal Systems Analyst (Business Intelligence), Oracle Database Administrator I, Oracle Database Administrator III and Oracle Database Administrator IV.
Others are, System Administrator I, System Administrator III, System Administrator IV, SAP Basis Administrator II, Systems Developer III, Systems Developer IV, System Security Analyst I, Principal Security Analyst and Senior Geographic Information System (GIS) Expert/Engineer, Geographic Information System (GIS) Expert/Engineer
They are also recruiting Senior Systems Developers I, (2) positions, System Security Analyst IV (4) positions and Senior Systems Security Analyst (2) positions.
The deadline to submit the applications is no later than 5 pm on April 22, 2024.

The Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited is also seeking to recruit 16 posts.
Ketraco said they need Senior Manager, Transmission System Planning (KET3), Manager, Real-Time Operations (KET4), Manager, Substations (KET4), Manager Internal Audit, Finance and Operations (KET4), Manager Supply Chain Management, Project Services and Office Operations (KET4) and Senior Engineer Power Dispatch (KET 5) one position each.
Others are Human Resource Officer - Payroll and Compensation (KET6), Business Development Officer (KET6), Office Administrator - (KET7) and Receptionist - (KET8) one position each.
They are also recruiting Security Officer - Operations (KET6) (2) positions, Legal Officers - Litigation (KET6) (2) positions, Supply Chain Assistant Stores and Warehouse -(KET7) (2) posts.
Ketraco said that candidates who meet the requirements should submit their applications by April 19, 2024, at 5 pm.
