President William Ruto will on Monday host his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda who is in the country for a two-day state visit.

Duda arrived in the country Sunday night as part of his week-long trip to the African continent that will also see him tour Rwanda and Tanzania to reinforce diplomatic ties.

Duda who is accompanied by his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda among other senior officials is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Ruto at Statehouse Nairobi.

The two will later witness the signing of bilateral documents.

Later in the afternoon, Duda will participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the national monument in Uhuru Gardens and also hold a meeting with representatives of the Polish community.

The trip which is the fifth to Africa, according to Duda, has two main goals- promoting Poland and Polish business and informing about the situation in part of Europe.

"We hope that all business meetings, as well as meetings with Poles, will be a success and will bring benefits to Poland in the future," Duda said in a statement.

Duda added that the talks will also cover the operation of Russian propaganda and Russian disinformation.

"We will say who violates international law, who violates the order established after World War II, who violates borders, who is the attacker and who is responsible for the difficult situation in many places around the world," he said.

During the visit to the three nations, Duda will participate in economic forums of Polish businesses where several bilateral agreements are set to be signed.

It is expected that the two leaders will discuss the opening of a Kenyan representation in Poland. So far, there have been no presidential-level talks over it.
