Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management CS Moses Kuria will on Friday reveal details on the much anticipated National Youth Service recruitment.

In a statement, the CS said that all the 1450 wards will have a share of the recruitment.

"For the NYS Recruitment starting on Monday, each ward will get its quota of recruits based on Ward Population. On Friday, I will announce to the nation the number of recruits assigned to each ward," Kuria said.

Sending a word to the MCAs,  the CS said it is their responsibility to ensure that their ward gets its rightful share of recruits at the Sub County Recruitment Centre. "Mkuwe macho".

Earlier, Kuria insisted that there would be no special list for recruitment and that everyone must go through the entire recruitment process.

He said that it was time for him to stand up and protect the rights of the children of the poor in the country.

Kuria reiterated that no amount of intimidation will make him change his mind on ensuring fairness in the recruitment process.

"NYS Recruitment will take place from Monday to Friday, February 5-9 2024. As promised by President William Ruto and myself, there is no side list. Kila mtu aingie uwanja.

"It is time to stand for the children of the poor. No amount of pressure and intimidation will make me backtrack on this. Hata nyinyi mnanijua," the CS said on X.

Kuria had earlier announced that NYS will be recruiting 15,000 servicemen and women at sub county recruitment centres, from February 5 to February 9, 2024.
