Wetang’ula expressed confidence that she would emerge strongly and weather the storm.
"My words to you are inadequate. Accept my deepest condolences and that of the Parliament fraternity for the loss of your dear son, Benedict Musyoka Mbalu," he said.
"Now like never before, our thoughts and sympathies are with you and your family. We are praying for your strength during this painful moment of mourning your dear son."
The Speaker said that he learnt of the demise of Benedict through the Clerk of the National Assembly, Samuel Njoroge.
He assured the Mbalu family that Parliament and the country at large were standing with them at the difficult moment of grief.
The Speaker termed the unfortunate occurrence as a shock to the family and encouraged them to bravely go through the grieving process while believing in prayers and hoping for a better tomorrow.
"Like any parent, no one would wish to bury their child, but we have no control over God’s plans. We only believe in prayer and live with hope for a better tomorrow," Wetang’ula added.
MP Mbalu eulogised her son as a friend who had departed sooner and said she would cherish the warm moments they shared.
Other leaders present also eulogized the late Benedict as a hardworking and focused young professional who had a promising future.
Dignitaries present included; Attorney General Justin Muturi, Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, CS Soipan Tuya, MPs; Esther Passaris, Beatrice Elachi and Deputy Clerk National Assembly Serah Kioko among others.
