Kenyans have now singled out five key issues they would like the Kenya Kwanza administration to address urgently, this is according to a recent survey by Infotrak Research and Consulting.

In the end of year poll, most Kenyans would like to see issues related to the cost of living addressed as a priority. This, according to the survey, should include the high taxation and cost of fuel.

"The ever-climbing price of basic necessities like food, housing and transportation is the undeniable champion of concerns. It gnaws at household budgets, squeezes wallets and fuels anxieties about every day needs."

Most Kenyans also said corruption is another issue that needs urgent addressing because it impedes the country's growth.

They also singled out food security fears, poverty and the burden of doing business in the country as other issues that need urgent attention.

Other issues that also featured prominently include; affordable education and healthcare, clean water and energy, and efficient disaster management.

The survey was conducted between December 18 and December 19, 2023 among 1,500 respondents aged above 18 years from across all 47 counties and eight regions of Kenya.

The survey which was conducted through Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews (CITI) has a +/- 2.53 per cent margin of error and a response rate of 94 per cent.
