The Public Service Commission has announced 1,902 job vacancies in different state departments.
According to the notice seen by the Star, there are 1,701 vacancies in the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration.
The three posts in the department include government chemist one vacancy, a clerical officer II 900 vacancies and senior support staff 800 vacancies.
There is one vacancy for the post of assistant director, gender in the State Department for Gender and Affirmative Action.
PSC also advertised one vacancy for the post of Director of Roads and Rail Transport Services in the State Department for Transport.
There are 58 vacancies for the post of Land Valuer in the State Department for Lands and Physical Planning.
The commission also said there is one vacancy in the post of Director, Internal Trade in the State Department for Trade.
Other positions include one position for Director, of Regional Development (the State Department for Asals and Regional Development).
The commission announced five vacancies in the State Department for Tourism in three posts including Assistant Director, Tourism Research, Policy and Innovation (two vacancies), Assistant Director, Tourism Development and Promotion (two vacancies) and Assistant Director, Tourism Investment and Finance (one vacancy).
There are 100 vacancies in the State Department for Social Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs in Children's Officer II, and Social Development Officer III.
There are 26 vacancies in the State Department for Diaspora Affairs in posts including Director, Foreign Service, Assistant Director Foreign Service and Deputy, Director Foreign Service.
The Commission also advertised eight vacancies in the State Department of Shipping and Maritime for the post of Shipping and Maritime Offer I.
