Away from the serious African climate, Cabinet Secretary for Transport Kipchumba Murkomen and Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot were having a light moment over Football.

Murkomen is known to be a supporter of Manchester United while Cheruyiot is a gunner (Arsenal).

On Monday, the UDA Senator on the X platform jokingly claimed that CS Murkomen had gone missing and left him with a huge bill after his team was defeated on Sunday night by Arsenal.

"Has anybody seen Kipchumba Murkomen? He left me with a huge bill after Declan and Gabriel did their thing. Jumped up to celebrate, only to find an empty chair and the waiter with the bill," Cheruyiot posted.

The Senator however claimed that Opposition Leader Raila Odinga was in the same venue and cleared the bill.

"Luckily, fellow gooner Raila Odinga was in the vicinity. After celebrations, he cleared the bill," Cheruiyot added.

Responding to his statement, CS Murkomen told off the Senator, telling him he was making noise while a serious summit was going on.

"The country is focusing on #ACS2023 and you are polluting the environment with lots of noise? Na ukuwe serious Bwana bill ya chai na samosa ni kitu ya kutangazia Watu ? (And be serious my guy, is tea, samosa bill something to announce to people? Arsenal fans are all the same regardless of their party affiliations," he added.

On Sunday night, Arsenal beat Manchester United 3-1  in the English Premier League match.
