President William Ruto on Friday talked tough on corruption, insisting that no one engaging in the vice will be spared.

Speaking in Nyamasege in Kisii county, Ruto said corruption must stop in Kenya, no matter what it takes.

He insisted that the people engaging in graft have only three options.

Ruto said they either relocate to another country, go to jail or go to heaven.

The President said people cannot continue taking money belonging to Kenyans and making their money, adding that they have no place to hide.

"Maneno ya ufisadi Kenya hii itakoma. Hakuna mtu ataendesha ufisadi hii Kenya. Wafisadi wote mambo yao ni matatu; wahame Kenya, waende jela ama wasafiri waende mbinguni. There is no other place ya kujificha. Hatuwezi chukua pesa ya wananchi na kuifanya pesa yake na bibi yake. Pesa ya wananchi ni ya wananchi," Ruto said.

This loosely translates to, "Corruption will end in Kenya. No one will engage in corruption going forward and the corrupt have only three things; they either relocate to another country, go to jail or travel to heaven. There's no place to hide. You can't take money belonging to the people and turn it into your own money."

The head of state said his administration will not compromise with anyone engaging in corrupt dealings.

Ruto said he will deal with corruption conclusively in the country and ensure the resources of Kenyans are put to good use.

"We are not going to compromise with anybody. Whoever you are, whatever political party you belong to, which religion you come from, which community or county you come from. We are going to deal decisively and conclusively with corruption in Kenya so that we can protect public property and resources," he said.
