ODM Leader Raila Odinga's spouse Mama Ida has asked President William Ruto to send the Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome home over alleged police brutality during the anti-government demos.
While eulogizing the lives of two men who died during the demos in Kisumu, Ida accused the police of taking their lives.
"President, if you are a good person just be man enough and send Koome home," she said.
"If you don't want to send Koome home then the blood of those innocent boys who lost life will be in your hands."
She spoke in Vihiga during the burial of the late Brian Akhala, Benjamin Miya and William Amulele.
The two are said to have lost their lives in Nyalenda slums in Kisumu county the day protests were held.
Mama Ida said those two did not deserve to die blaming the police for their demise.
Present at the function were Raila, Vhiga Governor Wilber Ottichilo, Former Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya, DAP-K leader Eugene Wamalwa, Roots Party leader George Wajackohyah and Vhiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi among other leaders.
