Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has told off leaders allied to Kenya Kwanza over trying to portray Azimio leader Raila Odinga as someone who is against the Agikuyu community.

According to Amisi, the said people who peddle such narratives have made the former Prime Minister to be hated for no reason.

He insisted that this needs to stop.

The Saboti MP defended Azimio's list of representatives in the Bipartisan talks with Kenya Kwanza, saying that all selected to form part of the team are part of the opposition outfit.

"The dialogue team is not a resource or positions distribution cabal. These are men and women to represent the coalition in the mediation talks. Where does the idea of Kikuyus being left out come from? he said.

"Let's stop pitting Raila against the Kikuyus all the time. You have made mzee to be hated for no apparent reason. Stop it."

His remarks were in response to claims by a section of the Kenya Kwanza allies that the list of individuals picked to represent Azimio had left out Mt Kenya leaders in the coalition.

EALA MP Kanini Kega in a statement said that Mt Kenya region had no space in Azimio.

"Jubilee, PNU, NARC K, Usawa, and more importantly Mt Kenya has no space in Azimio! I have always told them, Ona Sasa!" Kega claimed.

The Azimio team will be led by Wiper Party leader and former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, a co-principal in the opposition outfit.

Also in the Azimio team are former Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi, Malindi MP Amina Mnyazi and Nyamira Senator Okong'o Omogeni.

The plans for the talks follow President Ruto's meeting with Raila last Friday in Mombasa where they agreed to form a 10-member committee to deliberate on their issues.

Kenya Kwanza is yet to give a list of its representatives.
