Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai now claims that only two parties aside from ODM are of benefit to the Azimio coalition.

Speaking on Monday, Alai said that the other parties in the coalition have to be pushed for any impact to be felt.

He insisted that the said parties have been pressing the Orange party with funny demands, yet they did not benefit the coalition with any votes.

Alai alleged that these parties want the coalition to refer to President William Ruto as an enemy, while they recognise him as president.

"ODM currently finds value in a coalition with Wiper and DAP-K. Others are donkeys we have to whip to make any impact," Alai said.

"The others are stressing ODM with lots of funny rendezvous while in the real sense, they wasted our votes, handed over power to someone they want us to call enemy but they call them "my President."

He, however, did not mention which parties he was referring to.

The Azimio coalition is comprised of ODM, Jubilee, Wiper, Narc Kenya, DAP-K, Roots Party, Usawa kwa Wote, and Kanu parties among others.

The city MCA further stated that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party should instead, focus on rebuilding, ahead of the next general elections.

Alai said this should be done by latest July next year.

"ODM must focus on rebuilding, preparing voter register and ensuring that we are ready for 2027 as soon as July 2024," he said.

Alai has been one of the vocal elected leaders from within the opposition who has been calling out their leadership, whenever they make decisions he does not agree with.
