Man’s body found by roadside in Machakos

The body of man was found dumped by the roadside on Kangundo Road in Machakos County.

The body of the unidentified man was retrieved from the scene near Kwa Kuku area in Matungulu subcounty on Monday but details of the discovery were made public on Wednesday.

Matungulu subcounty police commander Peter Omondi said the body had visible injuries on the right side of the lower eye.

"The person appeared to have been killed elsewhere before his body was dumped at the scene where it was found,” Omondi told the Star in his office on Wednesday.

Omondi said the body was removed to the City mortuary pending an autopsy and identification.

He said they have launched investigations into the incident.
