Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria on Wednesday launched an attack on comedian Eric Omondi over his sentiments on the Finance Bill.

Omondi claimed that the government has not delivered its campaign promises to Kenyans.

He said the government should focus on the high cost of living rather than housing.

"The Kenya Kwanza team promised Kenyans a better, cheaper and easy life. Today we are having the wrong conversation, we are talking about housing," he said.

"There are no homeless people in Kenya, but there are hungry families and children. The conversation should be about the high cost of living."

However, Kuria told him off claiming that he regrets funding him to visit the United States to see the World.

"I heard Eric saying he’s still young. Seven years ago, I took my money and paid for him to go to America so that he could see how the world is. Now, the way he’s talking, I would have rather used that money to party,” Kuria said.

His sentiments made the audience burst into laughter as the host of the show tried to stop him.

The comedian has been arrested several times for demonstrating the high cost of living.

Omondi was first arrested on February 21 as he led protesters along Parliament Road.

He was consequently arrested twice in March and twice in April.

On March 28, he was nabbed along Uhuru Highway as he carted thousands of CVs he claimed belonged to jobless youth.
