Stage set for Stanbic Yetu Festival featuring Boyz II Men

The stage for the second edition of Stanbic Yetu Festival is set ahead of the arrival of star act American  Boyz II Men this Thursday.

The band comprising Nathan Morris, Wanyá Morris and Shawn Stockman is expected to arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 10.30am.

Kenya’s premier award-winning boy band Sauti Sol will share the stage with the American R ‘n’ B trio at the much awaited Stanbic Yetu Festival this Saturday, June 10, at Uhuru Gardens, Nairobi.

Event organisers Radio Africa in partnership with Stanbic Bank have gone an extra mile to ensure décor and a state-of-the-art sound system are in place at the venue ahead of the event.

Other than Stanbic Bank, Radio Africa has also partnered with Kenya Airways, Sankara Hotel and Martell to ensure the event is a big success.

The event, touted as arguably the biggest concert in Kenya this year, is sold out.

The VVIP tickets, which were going for Sh30,000, were the first to fly off the shelves in the first week of May, followed by the VIP tickets which were going for Sh15,000 while regular tickets which were going for Sh8,000 sold out last week.

On Friday at 9am, fans will be given a snippet of what to expect during the concert when the band gets hosted on Classic FM by the exciting breakfast radio duo Maina and King’ang’i.

Thereafter, Boyz II Men will address a press conference at Sankara Hotel between 10am and 11am.

Gates for the event will open at 4pm on Saturday and the concert is expected to begin at 6pm. No tickets will be sold at the gate.

Fans will be entertained by star-studded disc jockeys including G-Money, DJ Forro, DJ Sahky, DJ Grauchi, CNG and DJ Dream.
