Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has said one of the three Covid 19 tests he took on Wednesday morning came out positive.

While delivering the State of the Nation Address, Museveni said he had shown symptoms of Corona Virus, prompting the test.

"This morning, I was feeling as if I had a cold. I took a rapid Coronavirus test which indicated negative. However, my samples were taken for a deeper analysis. One was negative and the other positive," he said, according to the Daily Monitor.

"So, I am a suspect of Corona as I speak. That's why I came in a separate car with Maama."

In his Address, Museveni the Ugandan government has strengthened its health systems over the last three years.

This includes equipping regional and national referral hospitals.
