A Senate committee probing the mysterious cult deaths in Kilifi will on Wednesday question Interior CS Kithure Kindiki and Attorney General Justin Muturi.

The two will be the first to appear before the ad hoc committee that has lined up several people and groups for questioning as it seeks to get to the bottom of the deaths.

Kindiki to meet UK counterpart

Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration Kithure Kindiki and the United Kingdom Security Minister Tom Tugendhat will host a joint press conference after talks on the UK and Kenya’s security partnership.

The two will also make major announcements on the security collaboration between Kenya and UK at Harambee House.

Bipartisan panel to begin talks

The bipartisan dialogue committee that is steering talks between the government and the opposition will begin its work on Wednesday.

The co-chairperson of the Bipartisan Dialogue Committee, Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo, has invited members for a meeting at the Bomas of Kenya from 10 am.

This comes a day after Azimio leader Raila Odinga gave Kenya Kwanza two days to commence the talks or the opposition explores other options to achieve their goals.

Kindiki removes two Meru police commanders 

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has removed two police commanders from Meru County as fight to curb cattle rustling in the area intensifies. 

The CS removed Igembe North OCPD and the Officer-in-Charge of GSU's command of the area.

He said their removal is to facilitate investigations and ensure efficiency in security operations in the disturbed area. 

 Kanini Kega cancels Uhuru's meeting
